I like the synopsis for the anime, "Cute girls doing cute things in cute ways". Ichigo Mashimaro aka Strawberry Marshmallow is basically a gag manga/anime with five girls doing everyday life things together, but I must say, this one always stood out to me amongst the many slice of live anime with cute girls, thanks to the two main characters Nobue and Miu.
Hunter x Hunter is one of my and many others favorite manga/anime of all time. This review will concentrate on the 2011 anime adaption, which follows Gon's and his friends and frenemies adventures. But don't be fooled, this is not a typical kid's show, with every arc HxH gets darker and more enlightening.
This is not your typical romance anime, this is a gag anime pretending to be a romance anime. I enjoyed this funny take on one-sided crush that develops into more, one episode after another. The story is about high school girl Sakura, who's in love with her classmate Nozaki, who's secretly a shoujo mangaka. He is oblivious to the fact that she isn't his fan but in love with him, so he makes her his assistant, and hilarity ensues.
This is one of the few times I knew the manga before the anime, and I remember loving the manga, because the characters were fun and the story revolves around art and what it means to become an artist. Mangaka seem to be experts in that field, and I wonder why there aren't more of them writing basically autobiographic stories about their path to becoming mangaka.
I'm not surprised this series got a live action adaption before an anime adaption (although I'd like one). Anata ga Shite Kurenakutemo aka Even If You Don't Do It is a mature drama with complicated characters, it explores themes of love, loneliness, and the complexities of human relationship.
My introduction to this series happened in 2016, when the first season of "March Comes in Like a Lion" aired. Not a big sports fans, and I know nothing about shogi (Japanese chess), so an anime about a shogi player sounded interesting enough to me. I was pleasantly surprised that this anime didn't have much to do with shogi but instead gave us a wholesome slice of life plot, where shogi is in the background and the characters are the stars.
I remember stumbling upon this manga when I was a teenager, the whole ecchi genre was interesting and new to me, so I checked out a couple titles, but "Blush-DC" or "/Blush-DC: Hi♥mitsu" left an impression on me.

This anime gave me a headache as well "blue balls" (though I'm female). A love story that revolves around high schoolers that are constantly horny for each other, but can't seem to just say "I love you". In this case, even their school is forcing the students to be married for some psycho reason, and our main protagonist still acts like a fool every second he gets a chance.
