I remember stumbling upon this manga when I was a teenager, the whole ecchi genre was interesting and new to me, so I checked out a couple titles, but "Blush-DC" or "/Blush-DC: Hi♥mitsu" left an impression on me.
The plot is a bit crass, it revolves around the life of a high school student named Amano Taichi and his experiences with various women. One day a particular girl, Iwashita Ayane, catches his attention in cram school, because of her red fingernail. Later in town he sees a familiar girl and follows her, but the girl enters an image club - a brothel that specializes on cosplay. His classmate Ayane is a working girl.
Inside the club, Taichi meets a woman named Momoka, who offers him a job, he accepts the job and has to clean up the rooms, help the girls etc. The story features mature themes and becomes more explicit the more you read. We learn about each working girl and their motives for working as prostitutes. We also follow Taichi and his inner struggle to let Ayane become a victim of violence and blackmail. He wants to help her, but is in no position to actually change her situation. And sometimes I'm not sure Ayane wants to be helped.
Of course, one of the best parts of a hentai manga are the more erotic scenes, however the treatment Ayane has to endure puts a damper on those moments. It's basically a constant hot and cold shower because of the dark plot (I don't want to see girls get raped every few chapters), and I didn't like the way the main character was behaving most of the time. But for what its worth, the story is good, and I enjoyed the chemistry between our main protagonist well enough.
