"Plastic Neesan" is a short-form gag anime series that was released in 2011. It consists of 12 hilarious episodes, each lasting only a few minutes, so you can watch the whole show in like 30 minutes. It was adapted from the manga and stayed true to the fast-paced comedy that focuses on the daily lives of three high school girls: Iroe Genma, Makina Sakamaki, and Hazuki Okamoto, as well as their classmates.
Plastic Neesan made me laugh from beginning to end with its absurd humor, and that's what I want from a gag anime. I didn't mind the short format, but if you need character development and plot, this one isn't for you. It's a quick, fun watch, and once you're done, you can continue with the equally funny manga and follow the wacky lives of our main characters.
Iroe Genma is a third-year high school student often referred to as Nee-San "Elder Sister" despite her short height. She's the troublemaker of the group and president of her school's plastic model club. The club has two more members, violent Hazuki "Okappa" Okamoto and the rational Makina "Makimaki" Sakamaki. One of my other favorites characters is cross dresser Kuniki, who's spearding chaos everywhere. Like I said, it's fun gag anime, if you're into that kind of Japanese humor, give this one a try for sure!
