Beelzebub is an anime that reminded me of Gintama, except our main character Oga is a high school student and has to take care of a demon baby, Beel. But other than that, it follows Gintam's slice of life comedy style with a bunch of fighting, jokes and supernatural themes.
The story follows Tatsumi Oga, a delinquent high school student who is known for his exceptional strength and violent behavior. One day, while relaxing by a riverbank, he encounters a mysterious man floating down the river. To Oga's surprise, the man splits open, revealing a baby boy with a demonic symbol on his forehead.
The baby, named Kaiser de Emperana Beelzebub IV (Baby Beel for short), is no ordinary child. He is the son of the Demon King and has been sent to Earth to be raised by a human. Oga is chosen as Baby Beel's "parent" by a demon maid named Hilda, who explains that Oga must raise the child to be a future ruler of the demon world.
Reluctantly, Oga accepts his new role as Baby Beel's parent, and the two embark on various comedic and action-packed misadventures. Oga soon learns that Baby Beel has incredible powers and attracts other demons and supernatural beings who want to challenge him or steal his power. Oga becomes involved in battles against these adversaries while trying to balance his school life and the responsibilities of parenthood.
Throughout the series, Oga forms alliances with other delinquent students and becomes known as "The Strongest Parent." He and Baby Beel develop a unique and heartwarming bond, despite the chaotic and dangerous situations they find themselves in. Plus, Baby Beel is the cutest thing ever! There are only 60 episodes (with an abrupt end), but you can follow the rest of the story through the manga (also had an abrupt end).
