Magi aka Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic is a fun shounen anime without much fanservice (rare these days), but lots of heart. I don't know many anime that display the Middle East, especially in a positive light, but Magi does an exceptional job at it. They explore old fairytales like 1001 Arabian Nights, having characters like Aladdin, Sinbad, and magical djinns, plus lots of clever story lines!
Quick explanation: A Magi is a strong magician that chooses a worthy candidate to become a king (in this case, blue haired Aladdin chooses blonde Alibaba), then helps them conquer strange labyrinths called "Dungeons" to acquire the power of mythical djinns.
Aladdin is very adorable, naive, young, and wise at the same time. He's also a little mischievous and into girls with big boobs. Alibaba is introduced to us as someone with principals and a big heart, but also someone who has debt and gets pushed around a lot, until he meets Aladdin. The next main character of the show is pink haired Morgiana, a strong female warrior that was enslaved and who the boys save.
We learn later on that Aladdin is the son of King Solomon and Queen Sheba of Alma Torran. King Solomon suddenly dies, due to this the entire kingdom has fallen into the hands of his evil big brother. So Alibaba has to try and become the brave new king. For a story like that, Magi is quite anti-government and anti-war. We also meet a variety of other important character, like Sindbad and Judar.
The action scenes are for the most part well animated, I also enjoy the colors and the music in Magi - overall the world feels alive and fantastical, just how you want an anime like this to be.
There are two seasons, I'd say watch them both to get the full story, after that you can watch the spin-off show Magi: Sinbad no Bouken.
